Recent Acquisitions
I am deeply honored and grateful for the recent acquisition of four of my photo-etchings by the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C.
First and foremost, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Sara Nodjoumi and Till Schauder for their powerful documentary film, A Revolution on Canvas, which brought greater attention to my work and artistic journey.
I am sincerely grateful to Carol Huh and Dr. Massumeh Farhad of the Smithsonian for recognizing the significance of my work and making this acquisition possible.
I also extend my heartfelt thanks to Taymour Grahne for presenting my work, and to Roshi Rahnama for her continued support and for being such a strong advocate for my art.
It is a profound honor to see four of my photo-etchings enter the collection of the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. I am grateful that these works will be preserved as part of this important national institution.

Meet Nahid Hagigat
Nahid Hagigat is a visual artist who combines her paintings with her own life stories. After graduating in Fine Arts from Tehran University, Nahid continued her studies in the United States. She received her Ph.D. from New York University in Art and Art Education, specializing in painting and printmaking. She often exhibited her art in Tehran and was instrumental in introducing printmaking to Tehran art galleries. She recently received her second Ph.D. from Huntington Pacific University in Art & Behavioral Therapy.
Nahid has had multiple solo and group exhibitions in the United States. In addition, her work is in numerous private and public collections including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The British Museum, Tehran Museum of Modern Art, JP Morgan-Chase, New York University, and World Bank in Washington, D.C. among others.
